Future plans: Our current work on Dialog Studio is to improve the appearance of character, including head movement. Module commands and VoiceXML specifications may change. Open JTalk is another choice of Japanese TTS. http://sourceforge.net/projects/open-jtalk/ I am developing library version of Open JTalk with Python wrapper, for Japanese version of NVDA, an opensource screen reader. https://github.com/nishimotz/libopenjtalk https://github.com/nishimotz/ojt-python Future version of Galatea can be used Open JTalk as default, to avoid the license problems of UniDic and ChaOne. Conributions for MacOS ports are welcomed. -- Takuya Nishimoto On Sun, May 30, 2010 at 9:04 AM, Takuya Nishimoto <nishi****@gmail*****> wrote: > Dear galatea-i18n and galatea-users members, > > galatea-dialog_20100530-1_i386.deb is available at: > http://en.nishimotz.com/galatea_dialog_studio#utf-8_based_system > May I kindly ask you to evaluate it before releasing at the official site? > > Since this version, AgentManager uses UTF-8 for character encoding. > EUC-JP locale is not necessary to run this version, hopefully. > > This package includes: > * UTF-8 based Dialog Studio (2.3.0) > * UTF-8 enabled gtalk binary > http://github.com/nishimotz/jagtalk > > Bug fixes: > * skelton file of fsm.conf (background of kani-demo was wrong) > > Enhancements: > * Generated app does not use ~/.galatea for tmp directory, > but uses (app_dir)/tmp directory. > It may help customizing module configuration. > http://en.nishimotz.com/galatea_dialog_studio#customizing_module_configurations > > Best regards, > -- > Takuya Nishimoto >
