This is a bugfix release, introducing no new application features. Several crashes and other serious bugs found in the 1.2.3 release have been fixed. This release also includes several new MIDI device definition (.rgd) files, as well as updates for Catalan, Russian, Swedish, Czech, and Italian translations, and a completely new Finnish translation.
This long-awaited release offers a variety of new features, bugfixes, and enhancements, including a new percussion matrix editor, multi-track audio recording, a project packager for the exchange of bundled project data, MIDI Time Code master/slave sync, and a zippier main editing canvas.
This release is now feature complete for 1.0 and marks the start of official beta testing. The main new feature is DSSI soft synth plugin support, but there are many other enhancements since 0.9.8 as well.
This release is primarily focused on bugfixes and performance and usability improvements over 0.9.7, including significant optimisations to the main editing canvas, sequencer and GUI memory leak fixes, faster and better notation editing and printing, and dozens of other fixes. It also contains a handful of new features including a MIDI mixer window, ottava and fingering marks in notation, and a redesigned audio segment manager.
