Since 25 October 2022, ".pam_environment" in the home directory is no longer read by the system, so you will not be able to enter characters with an additional engine such as "fcitx5-mozc".

To avoid this, add the following to /etc/environment:

GTK_IM_MODULE="fcitx5"
QT_IM_MODULE="fcitx5"
XMODIFIERS='@im=fcitx5'

This will be fixed in a next release.
