This is the alpha release of 1.9, which is now capable of serving the same level of functionality as 1.8's latest release. There is still another beta and a production release to be done for 1.8 as well. The main project website has had a lot of work done in the past few weeks to document the tool, how to use it, and how to use the GEL expert system interpreter it creates for your business application models. The author has also tabled an open proposal for the 1.9 beta in the early 2012 timeframe.
