I am launching the > 'emacs' version inside the bundle, i.e., on my machine, > /Users/nicholas/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/bin/emacs. I also have this problem /Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs runs okay, but if I make a symbolic link ln -s ~/emacs /Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs when I run it I get Warning: arch-dependent data dir (/Volumes/Emacs/Emacs.app/Contents/ MacOS/libexec/emacs/22.0.50/i386-apple-darwin8.7.1/) does not exist. and then it runs in -nw mode. Shame, it used to work okay with the symbolic link. Nadeem
