The Ubuntu subsystem was updated to 6.06.1, so now
the system can be installed on hard disk. Many
other small improvements were made. Most of all,
desktop integration with ufficiosamente.it
blog/picture/video community was started.
Subscribing and posting is a matter of clicking on
your desktop.
This release features a big step forward with the
new version of automatico, an automatic software
installer based on gnome-app-install. A simple
guide through all daily tasks has been included in
the distribution so users can find information
right on their desktop.
The distribution is now based on Ubuntu instead of
Arch Linux. Simple scripts were added for
downloading and installing non-distributable
software such as media codecs, Flash player, and
Java. A graphical network configuration dialog was
included. Scanner support was added. Automatic
hardware detection and configuration was added.
An image viewer was added. gnome-volume-manager is now used for auto-mounting. Automatic time synchronization at boot was added. A gfloppy configuration problem was fixed. gst-plugins-cdparanoia was added to make gnome-cd work. Bookmarks were updated and HP OfficeJet drivers were removed because it is not currently possible to automatically configure them.
