This release added support for DVD burning and -a and --appent options for multi-session support. burn(1) now prints advice when data won't fit on media or when there is space left on media (when used with -n option). Support for custom sections in the config file in the tarball version was added. Arbitrary commands can now be configured instead of using cdrecord and growisofs by default.

This release added support for tages and multiple time options. It is now possible to catalogue arbitrary directories.

The behaviour of the -y/--yes option was fixed.

burn(1):
The added to check whether files are in a database
before burning them was added to burn along with a
-o (overburn) option/shortcut, ISO image locking
during burning to prevent truncating by another
process, and the ability to skip the image creation
step, which can be useful when you already have an
image. In mkat, CDs with no label can now be
cataloged and a -q (be quiet) option was added.
