This release is primarily geared towards fixing bugs in the support for WebLogic versions prior to 9, as well as adding support for the WebSphere Studio test environment.
This release focuses on application server
compatibility and bugfixes. WebSphere 5 support is
back, along with new support for WebSphere 6.
WebLogic 9 and Sun's Java Server are newly
supported in this release. A few minor JSR-77 and
searching features were added.
This release improves and simplifies the user
interface while adding new standards support and
more compatibility with servers and JDK 1.5. It
also adds JSR-77 support, allowing you to monitor
statistics and application components in
supporting J2EE servers. It also includes a new
HTML-based dashboard definition system, allowing
for easier creation of custom interfaces. Also new
are an enhanced connection system and new support
for Pramati and Geronimo servers. MC4J has also
been updated to utilize the NetBeans Platform 4.0.
This release adds support for JDK 1.5 monitoring and
management features and provides thread monitoring
(states and stacks) and memory pool monitoring (pie charts
and graphs). This release also greatly improves the custom
view system, called dashboards. There is also a new guide
to help you create your own dashboards. Oracle's OC4J has
been added as a supported server type supporting their
latest preview release. There is also a whole suite of UI
improvements and bugfixes that make this the most solid
release yet.
