The test will clean up properly after compile failures. The order of output in stp_client.pl has been changed. The dependency on Template has been removed. The templates install command has been removed from Makefile.PL. There is a fix for a failure to log app install. More failed test output has been added.
Patches for software beyond the kernel can now be added and tested against. The options that tests receive can now be viewed and entered. In addition to lilo, you can now also specify custom environment variables and sysctl settings. The interface was changed to match the new OSDL site. Tests are now presented in categories, and the project dropdown now only shows your projects. The host queue length can be viewed, many bugfixes and under-the-hood improvements were made, and the underlying engine was largely rewritten.
This release adds a Cancel Test Request feature to allow users to cancel Queued tests; the hope is that this will help make more efficient use of the testing system by avoiding running invalid tests. Some minor cosmetic improvements to the test request search result pages have also been implemented. A limited cleanup of the codebase has been done to remove obsolete scripts, move the STP Web site to a separate repository, and update the RPM spec file.
Many improvements to profiling, test handling, results production, etc. This release adds /usr/bin/stp_oprofile.sh, /usr/bin/stp_oprofile, and lib/STP/Client/OprofHandler.pm. All of the above can be used to add wrappers to test scripts for oprofiling. DiskHandler.pm has been added to support disk partitioning. Permissions have been fixed for results copying.
This version was rewritten to follow a client-server design, and to introduce a more robust structure. It provides more insight into the testing progress, no longer uses control tests, and incorporates an ASP SOAP server for controlling DB activity. In addition, the installation system has been re-engineered, and better documentation has been provided.
