Numerous bugs were fixed. Syntax checking was
added for Python source. Automatically refreshing
tools were added. The ability to "run current
file" and "run selected code" was added. A command
line option was added to make PyPE usable on flash
drives.
Closing large files is now faster. An incompatibility with certain wxPython 2.7 versions was fixed. Opening changelog.txt on Unicode platforms now works, as does the spell checker. A command line option for choosing the font to be used in the editor was added.
This release fixes various Unicode bugs, GTK-specific bugs, pathmark creation, resizing too small causing a crash, and others. It adds 'ignore dotted paths' for the search tab (for .svn, .cvs, etc.), better self.method discovery for Python, a 'round box' indicator for shell output on supported wxPythons, and support for the wxPython prerelease.
New features include a command-line option for
base font size setting, various macro/scripting
methods, todo/searching support for non-Python
languages, and support for utf-32 encoding
variants on supported platforms. Fixes were made
for some incorrect shell behaviors, Smart Paste
over previous selection, trigger handling, certain
macro timeout failures, and running PyPE from a
path whose name contains characters outside the
ASCII range.
Starting PyPE up via pype.pyw was fixed. Memory
consumption was reduced for users with large
spellcheck dictionaries when they are not in use.
Indicator options were added for text received
from the command and Python shells.
