A new database schema, a new AJAX interface, numerous scalability enhancements, bugfixes, and a better behaving install script mark just a few of the changes this release brings.
Major internal restructuring was done, including enhanced queue management, the ability to format larger input files, and better job reporting. User visible changes were mostly made on the queue management and job reporting pages. Better administrative support was added.
In the year since the last release there have been many bugfixes, a change to the back-end database, support for binary input files, subdirectories in job output, and much more. The infrastructure is undergoing extensive changes in order to support more complex programs such as phred and phrap.
This release includes a large number of bugfixes
and infrastructure additions to facilitate job
restart and workflow enactment. The Pise pipes
facility has been greatly enhanced, including the
<withpipe> tag feature.
This is strictly a bugfix version; there are no new features.
Many warnings have been cleaned up, from uninitialized
variables to improper array passing.
