OpenThought

There are major improvements to the documentation and installation instructions. The default installation now conforms to the FHS 2.2. The config file format has been changed from XML to Apache style. The XML2Hash module has been moved to a separate package. A number of new tests have been added to the test suite.

Several bugs related to select list behaviour have
been fixed. Handling of blank fields which are
sent from the browser to the server was improved.
Deserialize no longer returns the full session,
only the session_id. OpenThought now works under
standard CGI, in addition to mod_perl. Many
updates have been made to the documentation. Many
other bugfixes and new features were added.

Minor bugfixes and several feature enhancements, execution of serializing data and sending it to the browser in a particular, customizable order, new support in the URL option for GET parameters, and some restructured internals to make future enhancements simpler.

Ability to alter settings on the fly in existing applications, ability to append items to a select list instead of just overwriting them, any given select list item can be highlighted by the server, new easier methods for working with radio buttons, ability to easily load a new HTML document while preserving your session, ability to send expressions as parameters to the browser, and a fix for a bug which caused some browsers to crash intermittantly.

This version is a major overhaul over the previous versions. It
contains significant improvements, including a simpler API, faster
round trip times, and better browser support. Additionally, it now
utilizes a plugin manager called OpenPlugin, allowing for more
flexible and powerful applications.
