New functionality includes highly configurable enterprise-grade accounting; project management, HR, and SFA applications; enhanced asset management and maintenance; eCommerce enhancements; visual theme and configurable portal support; a Web-based point-of-sale application; business intelligence tools, and various new reports. The release also features major improvements in overall production stability, quality, and security, including protection from vulnerabilities common to Web-based software; enhancements to marketing and content management functionality.
This release includes hundreds of new features and now has
nearly all functionality required for a retail fulfillment based
business and many other types of businesses to operate.
There are also major enhancements to the OFBiz Framework
components.
This is a maintenance release. There were a number of bugs introduced between 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 which were addressed, and more extensive testing has now been done. There are also a couple of new features.
This release includes major new application functionality and framework improvements. The presentation layer architecture has been enhanced to be much cleaner and easier to customize for e-commerce applications. Improvements were made to e-commerce, the Catalog Manager, Accounting (invoicing and billing), Facility/Warehouse/Inventory management, and others. New features were added to the Workflow, Service, and Entity engines and to the MiniLang simple-methods.
