The main new features are internationalization
(with translations for English, Polish, and
German), enhanced support for UTF-8 and other
charsets, support for large files, enhanced
information about files in the statusbar, more
precision with displaying files size, and
automouting of CDROMs and other removable devices.
This release has been rewritten from scratch. It is a completely new program. The most important new features are support for C++ and Python plugins, mouse gestures, new virtual file systems, and that the engine is now separate from the GUI.
This release adds SFTP support, detailed file information in the status bar, executing programs/commands in a separate thread from the edit field, fixes for some bugs, a program name change from openspace to nao file manager, and an option for determining file types using their content (previously only file names).
Now you can add or modify the hotkeys for all
available operations. The source code was
refactored. A new design is used. Three icon sets
are available. A more comfortable option for
changing fonts was implemented. An option for
changing colors for almost every GUI element was
added. An option for changing scroll speed was
added. More file types are automatically
configured.
