This release fixes a serious crash that could occur when accessing files multiple times simultaneously. It also sees a switch from lame's internal ID3 library to libid3tag, which is much more powerful. ID3v1 and v2 tags are now supported. Only version 2.4 v2 tags are written by libid3tag, which may cause some apps that don't understand v2.4 tags to use the v1 tag instead. Many more tags are now transcoded.
This is a minor update which adds support for the
upcoming flac 1.1.3 release. This release also
adds support for year and genre ID3 tags, which
were missing in the last release. Complete ID3
support will require linking a dedicated id3
library, but this may be supported in the future.
