OK. the segemenation fault came as the libs were 1.7 and the 
exerb 1.6.7.

but now doing all with 1.6.7 I get tons of warning:
fox/core.rb:1 warning: already initialized

Doing a hello-world tk-test give a segmentation fault.

Sorry to take up so much bandwidth here.

Curious what experience other people have.
