Escuelas Linux is a free educational distribution, aimed from preschool to high schools.
It is a distribution that offers, as part of the setup, one user account completely configured, up to the last details. A user does not need to download any file, modify file configurations nor compile anything. Every app came included and ready to work for educational environments.

Once there, download the .z01 and .zip files for the language that you'd like to use (English or Spanish). Remember that this 32-bit edition is for relatively old computers with more than 700 MB of RAM and less than 3 GB.
HOW TO GENERATE YOUR ISO IMAGE
-On Windows and Escuelas Linux systems, uncompress with the file manager ONLY the .zip file to generate the ISO image.
-On macOS, you should install The Unarchiver app and uncompress ONLY the .z01 file to generate the ISO image.
-On Linux distributions that cannot handle the uncompression of split zip files in their file manager, open a terminal and type the following commands:
cd {path and folder name where the zip and z01 files are} (enter)
zip -s- escuelaslinux*zip -O todo.zip (enter)
unzip todo.zip (enter)

CÓMO GENERAR TU IMAGEN ISO
-En sistemas Windows y Escuelas Linux, descomprimir con el administrador de archivos SOLO el archivo .zip para generar la imagen ISO.

Bug fixes
Our 8.2 release fixes the following bugs on the 64-bit architecture:
-The omission of a library that prevented GIMP from opening.
-The KTorrent app and the Xterm and UXTerm terminal emulators were missing.
-It was impossible to open Avogadro, Pencil2D, and Kdenlive projects from the file manager.
-Kdenlive failed to start on computers with a not-so-new CPU. To fix this issue, we stopped using an AppImage that relied on advanced CPU instructions unavailable in some machines. As a minor drawback of not using an AppImage, the integration with the Glaxnimate animation app is not available anymore. Nevertheless, you may export a Glaxnimate animation as webm and import it into Kdenlive.
-Ktuberling failed to start, and GCompris crashed unexpectedly on some computers.
Fixed bugs on the 32-bit architecture:
-GIMP did not include the GREYC's Magic for Image Computing (G’MIC) plugin, so hundreds of effects were not readily available.

Corrección de errores
Nuestra versión 8.2 corrige los siguientes fallos en la arquitectura de 64 bits:
-La omisión de una biblioteca que impedía que GIMP se abriera.
-La aplicación KTorrent, así como los emuladores de terminal Xterm y UXTerm no estaban incluidos.
-No era posible abrir proyectos de Avogadro, Pencil2D y Kdenlive en el administrador de archivos.
-Kdenlive no podía iniciarse en computadoras con procesador relativamente antiguo. Para corregir este problema, dejamos de usar una AppImage que usaba ciertas instrucciones avanzadas de procesador que no están disponibles en cualquier máquina. Una pequeña desventaja de descartar esa AppImage es que la integración con el programa de animación Glaxnimate ya no está disponible. Sin embargo, podrías exportar alguna animación de Glaxnimate en formato webm y luego importarla a Kdenlive.
-Señor Patata no podía arrancar, y GCompris se cerraba inesperadamente en ciertas computadoras.
Errores solucionados en la arquitectura de 32 bits:
-GIMP no incluía el complemento Magic for Image Computing (G'MIC), por lo que cientos de efectos especiales no estaban disponibles.
