Continuing with our proposal to offer mini packages as an agile mechanism for correcting errors or omissions, we offer a Service Pack for Escuelas Linux 6.17 32-bit.
This Fix Pack updates LibreOffice to its 7.3.0 version 32-bit.
It was not possible to include LibreOffice 7.3.0 when we published Escuelas Linux 6.17. We found an error that blocked us from compiling the source code of this office suite for the 32-bit architecture. We did not have any help to solve this issue.
Fortunately, we found by our means a solution, and now the most recent version of LibreOffice to date is ready and available in Escuelas Linux 32-bit.
To install this Fix Pack, you should:
1. Download the file from https://osdn.net/projects/escuelaslinux/downloads/76224/EscuelasLinuxServicePack-6.17_LibreOffice-7.3.0-32.tar.gz/
2. Open the File Manager, go to the Downloads folder.
3. Decompress the downloaded file by pressing your right/alternate mouse button, and choose “Extract here.”
4. Double-click on the “FixPack” file, which will be inside the folder "EscuelasLinuxServicePack-6.17-LibreOffice-7.3.0-32" just created when decompressing.
Users of other distributions might use the .deb packages, located in the debs folder.
