Is there "c:\Ruby\lib\ruby\1.6\i586-mswin32\rbconfig.rb" ? i guess my problem with rbconfig is solved: it found the mswin32-ruby16.dll in the apollo directory, and searched for the ruby libs there and did not find it. with the ruby libs placed in apollo lib dir, everything works fine. regards Peter
