Sometimes it is important to check the serial port wiring. Hence it would be helpful to have graphical elements (LEDs), showing MSR status for CTS, DSR, DCD, and RI signals. Two on/off buttons for RTS and DTR would then allow to toggle these two signals.
What do you think about such functionality, and how would one develop it? Can this be implemented in the status bar?
