I work in an extremely 'locked down' IT environment. This means that I have to run quite a few applications from a USB thumb drive instead of simply installing them (seehttp://www.portableapps.com for this topic).
Apart from being an excellent Note-Taking application, I've found that Tombo can be installed on a USB drive and configured to point to my text note heirarchy on my local hard-drive. The config is stored on the USB drive. This leaves my work laptop completely clean in terms of installed software and I can happily use Tombo.

Thanks Hirami, it's a great app. One request - please keep it simple and resist requests to include non-text file formats. One of the biggest advantages of Tombo is its portability. Text is king.
