SharkLinux never had an official debut release. The original target in terms for an intended release date for SharkLinux was early 2018. Obviously things didnt end up going quite as planned. All the same we have now reached the new year which is around the original projected release date. As this is the first release of 2018, it has been given the nickname "SharkLinux Beta"

Latest build comes with some updated software and the return of LXD Sandbox, based on the official demo server which had previously been removed due to failed builds. While back end cleanup has continued dont expect many significant changes in terms of user experience. As preparations are made for the transition to Bionic the focus will be maintenance and improving what already exists with most of the things "in development" likely geared towards the new base.
