This release is intended to be a brief testing release before the advent of 0.2.0. It has many new features and a long ChangeLog entry. It should be more stable, and contains fixes for bugs that were noticed by many people. There is a font selection mechanism now (may not work in GTK 2). Wedged explosions are in this release, allowing Riot Charge and Riot Blast.
Major improvements in stability, both for game-play and networking, were made. Several segfaults have been fixed, including the bug with napalm weapons, and an infinite loop condition in the AI. Auto Defense, and The Lottery have been implemented.
A number of bugs in the interface have been fixed.
New types of shields (magnetic and force) have
been added, and players can select which type of
shield to energize. There are two new items, Solar
Panels and the Shield Sapper, which can reinforce
your shields and damage opponent shielding. Also,
several enhancements have been made to the
computer AIs.
