ufdbGuard

This release has 4 minor fixes and 2 enhancements. The fixes resolve minor issues; read the CHANGELOG for more details. ufdbGuard recognizes new keywords 'execuserlist' and 'refreshuserlist' that enable easier integration with LDAP, Kerberos, Active Directory, and other user databases. The ufdbConvertDB script generates errors with more details. The installation procedure uses LSB scripts or chkconfig (if it exists) to configure the startup script in /etc/init.d.

This version fixes a number of minor issues and has some enhancements. A "Social Networks" URL category was implemented. Error messages are more compact in the transparent and simple-red modes.

New features are support for monitoring by email and by command execution, license status reporting, configurable behaviour of the URL filter when it cannot perform URL lookups (allow all (default) or deny all), and a new option to define an alternate location of the file with trusted CA certificates.

This release has many new features and one minor fix.
The most interesting new features include support for time-based ACLs, detection of the Skype VOIP application, allowing Skype without disabling HTTPS security features, and a performance improvement of up to 96%. There is SafeSearch support for the new Google API. ufdbGenTable now strips starting and trailing spaces from URLs. ufdbhttpd gives now more details on the error page. The minor fix is for a more graceful exit when stopped with /etc/init.d/ufdb. ufdbGuard has also been ported to OpenBSD.
