A number of changes have been made to the
graphical interface. The much anticipated
delegation feature was introduced. Overall, this
is a more polished and faster version.
This release introduces a major new feature that will allow for full internationalization of the software. All text strings within the software may now be edited via an easy-to-use interface, which means that users can create their own native language plugins to share with the community. Also included with are numerous bugfixes and other minor improvements.
This release completes the authentication scheme
flow changes, and all
schemes are now assigned by policy. Further
changes to the policy-based
management system have been introduced with regard
to restricting access
to resources. The SSL-Explorer Agent has been much
improved (with user
feedback) when tunnels are started/stopped. The
binary installer has
returned.
The main addition to this release is a major
alteration to the authentication flow which has
been changed to a multi-stage login process. The
system now has the ability to alter the selectable
authentication schemes for a particular user
depending on those granted to them via their
policies. Additionally, an RSS based context
sensitive help system has now been introduced into
this release. Also included in the release are
various bugfixes for proxy support.
This release has a range of new features, including a fully policy-based permissions framework and a much simplified installation process, along with upgrades to network places that now provide access to local, Windows share, and FTP filesystems. Usability enhancements include a redesigned and improved GUI that provides a separation of the management and user interfaces. Several common workflows within the software have also been incorporated into easy-to-use wizard-style interfaces to simplify administration. Web forwarding has been considerably improved.
