This release provides many large feature updates over the 0.2.x series. These include an all-new plug-in system with rewritten plug-ins, a vastly more stable library, and the integration of previously optional features (such as image timestamping) directly into the core.
This release improves greatly upon 0.3.0-beta2 by fully implementing features and requirements needed for the 0.3.0 release. These included a fully-functional plug-in system, a consistent means of handling and manipulating C strings throughout the application, and updated plug-ins to match the new internal system (inspired partly by Pidgin).
Nearly the entire codebase has been rewritten, and quite a bit has been moved around to add true support for cross-platform use and writing data out in many different formats.
This release of QuickCapture is primarily aimed at
stabilizing the build process. All extensions have
been disabled by default so that the code compiles
and links properly on a wider array of platforms.
