OpenEXR support has been added (QtPfsGui is suggested for those now). picogen-pure, a mostly CLI renderer that could also be used for batch rendering, is included. Some severe bugs have been detected and squashed.
This release fixes several oversights. The documentation was improved, and example scenes are now shipped. Performance was improved, and memory consumption was reduced. The Debian packages are now clean with respect to Lintian. It is important for users of the .deb package to note that they must first uninstall their existing picogen installation before upgrading, as the old version numbering was wrong.
This release fixes some small bugs and package dependencies. Further, it introduces contextual help for the property editor and ships with more detailed documentation (but not enough yet to leave beta state).
This version was rewritten from scratch. picogen is now feature complete, and is in a freeze-state where only bugfixes are allowed. However, it lacks complete reference documentation.
This is the final unstable release of the old rendering-core and the front-end, picogen-wx. The next version will provide a completely new front-end based on QT, and, to a limited degree, inspired by the non-free program terragen, and a rewritten rendering core with faster time-to-render and low memory footprint.
