This release uses embedded Lisp internally for processing Web-based email servers. Hotmail and Yahoo! email monitors have been updated, and support has been added for LycosMail and ZipLip.com. OmniBiff now uses autoconf for simplified installation, and all passwords stored in the properties files can be encrypted.
Interfaces for external clients, a way to run OmniBiff as a proxy for other biff programs, and a WindowMaker applet client along with an interface library for creating new clients. New bifflets include Alta-Vista.com, Go.com, and BusinessWeekMail.com.
OmniBiff can now check Hotmail accounts. All HTTP-based bifflets have been re-written using a session-playback class, thereby making them more robust and more easily maintained. New bifflets can now be created by writing an XML session file (instead of Java code).
