The capabilites of the employee info importer were
expanded to include the ability to import time
clock records from a flat file. The criteria for
importing time clock records is fairly strict, so
you may want to read the section in
"./docs/3_MANUAL.txt" under the section called
"IMPORTING TIME CLOCK RECORDS FROM A FILE".
Basically, you can only load time clock records if
the employee exists, the department code exists,
the format of the time in and time out fields are
compatible with MySQL, and the imported records
don't overlap existing ones.
Now users can import up to 200 new employees at once from a delimited text, CSV, or Excel file. Full instructions can be found in the "./docs/3_MANUAL.txt" under the "IMPORTING EMPLOYEE INFORMATION..." section. Also, in prior releases when an employee was rehired back to a company, FreeWERM was displaying the original hire date on all screens where the hire date was displayed. These pages have been altered so that if an employee is rehired, the rehire date trumps the original hire date and is the date shown on-screen instead.
It's possible for users to look up when records were altered, added, or deleted through FreeWERM. Clicking on the "QUERY DB LOG" on the left side of the screen will take you to this new page, where you fill out what kind of action you are looking for and from what section, with a date or date range included. You can also specify an employee ID# to look for. FreeWERM will show the date and time the action was performed, along with the name of the employee who executed it and the actual action that was taken.
All pop-up windows have been removed. There were a few little bugs that, hopefully, have been fixed. A new programming feature is that if you re-hire an employee, any absences you've reported for them are erased. Also, if you give a termination reason when you terminate an employee, the reason will now appear at the bottom of their PDF profile.
