A compression level option was added, as was the ability to extract multiple archives from the command line, hide the tool bar and status bar, and perform archive operations from the Nautilus context menu. The "install Nautilus scripts" were removed, recent archives are shown in a sub-menu, and gconf is used instead of gnome-config. Fixes were made for Solaris and the Russian manual was fixed. egg-recent is now used to handle recent files, and gnome-icon-lookup is used to get icons. Archive loading is now 3 times faster. zip archives are now recognised regardless of the file extension. This release also includes multi drag and drop support, and handles LHA archives created on Windows.
Ported to GNOME 2, added an option to view the destination folder after extraction, rearranged the menus, and added mnemonics to all dialogs. Nautilus is now used as the document viewer.
The user can now specify files to exclude when adding files with the wild card, and load, save, and add dialog options. It now prompts to overwrite files when copying, moving, or renaming an archive, and the ability to rename compressed files was added. The location bar now respects tool bar preferences. Problems with automatic association with archives types, localization of the document viewer, and dialog usage in the non-interactive mode were fixed.
This release adds support for single files compressed with gzip, bzip, bzip2, compress, and lzop, a non-interactive mode to automatically add files to archives, and two Nautilus scripts to extract archives and add files to archives. It uses the MIME database to decide whether to use the viewer or the associated application when double-clicking on a file, or ask the user what to do if no entry is available in the database. There are some bugfixes.
A new ability to choose the columns to show in the file list, asking the user whether to create a directory when extracting to a non-existing directory, and minor bugfixes.
