A core dump that occurred when the 'rjd' command was called with an nonexistent job name was fixed. New job states were added to explain why a job can not be started (target closed, queue closed, limit of running jobs reached). An explicit entry is added in the job log when a job can not be started. The dio87c configuration utility checks file owner and file permission of the private configuration file (~/.dio87c.conf).
A new 'rjd' (Referential Job Duplicate) function can be used to copy a job in the same task (with another name) or in another task. Solaris support was added. A core dump that occurred when a job could not be started was fixed. An issue where the number of opened pipes increased indefinitely every time a job was sent was fixed. An explicit error message is displayed when a file can't be opened to ask the user to check the file's owner and permissions.
A bug was fixed in which the first day of the week
was Sunday (and not Monday). An important bug in
memory initialization was fixed. AIX and Cygwin
support were added for autotest scripts. The value
"NONE" for "LOG_LEVEL" in dio87d.conf prevents the
sending of messages to syslog. By default, "make
install" configures the "dio87d" daemon to run in
the account of the user who ran the configure
script. This can be changed by setting the
"DIO87D_ACCOUNT" variable when running the
configure script.
Log files are automatically deleted when they are
older than the number of days specified by
LOG_RETENTION (in the configuration file). The
default value is 365 days. Names and descriptions
accept new valid characters (depending on which
locale you use). Character validity is checked for
job paths, job arguments, manual conditions, file
conditions, target hostnames, and variable values.
