This release contains many new features and a cleanup. Some of the oldest deprecated package versions were removed and a new package for working with graphs (nodes and edges) was introduced.
This is the first release in quite some time, and
it's packed with new features. An entire physics
package has been added, as well as a new event bus
system. There's a new utility class for displaying
splash screens, and the new PropertySet class
allows any object to be viewed and manipulated
like a simple value map, complete with
PropertyChangeEvents. Also, the Commons has been
upgraded to utilize Java 5.0 language features
throughout the code. This means Java 5.0 (or
greater) is required to use the Commons from this
version onward.
This release has many new features. Four new
subpackages and an assortment of new classes were
added. A new "versioned package" system is now
used, which enables code to be built on the
Commons without fear of future updates causing
incompatibilities.
