A considerable number of enhancements, bug fixes, and cleanup were incorporated. All packages were updated to the latest stable version. A considerable number of add-on packages were added. Support was added for running Aloofix on Mac OS X using VMWare Fusion, Sun Virtualbox, Qemu (via Q), and User-Mode Linux. A buildstrap procedure was added to simplify the steps needed to build an initial Aloofix instance. A template-driven script for adding new packages was added. Preliminary support for Amazon Web Servces EC2 was added.

The start of a compilation toolchain has been added. GNU Make, GCC, and GNU Binutils can be built as add-on packages. Ncurses was successfully built as a test inside an Aloofix guest. Notable package version bumps include Linux 2.6.24.2 and busybox 1.9.1. In addition, qemu 1.9.1 is now supported. Root access is no longer needed for the preinstall build stage.

The release status has moved from alpha to beta. Version bumps have been done for Linux 2.6.24 and e2fsprogs 1.40.5. Support for non-root users has been improved. Booting from the hard drive boot loader no longer presents a boot menu, but proceeds directly to booting the kernel. Basic support for inclusion of add-on packages has been added. There are numerous bugfixes, cleanups, and improvements.
