I use CommitMonitor with a couple of repositories on GitHub. GitHub recently announced that they would be dropping support for password-based authentication. See https://github.blog/2020-12-15-token-authentication-requirements-for-git-operations/ Currently, users who authenticate with passwords receive a periodic email warning. Password authentication will fail starting August 13, 2021.
Is there a plan to enhance CommitMonitor to support token authentication?
I also noticed that TortoiseSVN now includes "TortoiseSVN Project Monitor" which seems very similar to CommitMonitor. Is that product now recommended over CommitMonitor? (The last time I checked, it seemed to be lacking some important features.) TortoiseSVN Project Monitor does not appear to have any settings to allow Token authentication either.
If neither product will support token-based authorization, can you suggest a similar product that does so?
